Every bird lover is not a breeder or an expert most of the people keep birds as pet or for hobby. These people also dreams to breed their pets. Most of them cant give their pets proper environment for breeding. Frequent disturbance makes birds insecure. This is way they do not breed well or destroy their eggs. This also happened to me also several times mainly to the cages of my home verandah where disturbance is frequent all the birds are not same.
Some can breed in extreme conditions and some needs too good environment to breed. I have applied this trick before two months and too some i got success. I took a dry betel nut leaves and cut them and fixed them over the side of cage where my woven nests are settled and this made my two pairs of finch breed and brood successfully. You can see the eggs. This belongs to one of that pair. When you do this the birds can not see you when entering the nest. So, they feels secure that nobody is there to disturb them their eggs and babies.
I am showing the success with this with one of my finch pairs. In the lower left of this cage not a finch pair and as this cage is at my home entrance so there is alot of disturbance. I have guarded the left side with this box but two times the female laid fertile eggs and destroyed them. I gave them proper food every thing was ok. Then i did the same trick with them also. What i was thinking that the female might being disturbed when she was seeing us from left corner. I took betel nut leaves and hung on the left corner as, my opinion the trick worked. You can see the leave at the left corner as you can see the budgie can not see us from corner. You can also use this trick to your birds also be natural and use natural.
