I have got several messages form you to make a article on budgie breeding diet in this article i am telling you the formula that i use to do.
You firstly have to take hard boiled eggs. Here i am using three eggs as i have to make food for 20 birds. You adjust the number of eggs with the number of birds. Crush the eggs with eggshell. Eggshell is an excellent source of calcium. Budgies, lovebirds, finches, cocktaiels, javas all love eggshell. Egg is an excellent source of protein, vitamin E, D, and carbs. Remember one thing to get good breeding results you must give your birds protein, vit E, calcium, vit D and fibres. Crush the egg in smallest pieces as much you can. This is crushe toast biscuit excellent source of carbohydrate mix it well with crushed egg. It also soaks the watery part of egg make the mixture dry. Birds always like to eat dry food not wet one. This is general proso millets birds love it. Millets are also excellent source of carbs, little protein and little fibre. Its vizylac a probiotic. I am giving the powder form. Give little amount to your food mixture mix it well. Probiotics are excellent for your bird as it strengthens the immunity of female at the time of breeding and brooding. Increased immunity reduces the chances of the death of female and chances to fall ill. Now these are some items that i mix with my eggfood. They are baby corn, apple and capsicum. In breeding time female birds need more protein and fibre. Apple, capsicum and baby corn are excellent source of protein and fibre in veggies. Your female bird need protein for a strong immunity and good quality eggs and chicks. Fibres will make her gut clear it would help her to produce quality eggs and reduce the chances of egg binding. I am giving this to my budgie breeding pairs. Also giving AMARANTH with this. Its a excellent leafy green for budgies good source of vit E, fibre and protein for birds. But clean it well before you are giving it to them. Now you can see how much they love the food. These are all breeding pairs. Try this item to your birds and you will definitely get good result.
