1. Why budgies eat their own poop?
Some times you will see that your budgies are eating its and others dry poop so, is not a good sign. It indicates that your budgie is suffering from malnutrition and you cannot allow them to consume that as stool contains germs solution- spread a piece of news paper on cage floor. It will soak all the poops of your budgies change the newspaper per day with new one. Give veggies, fruits leafy greens and eggfood to your bird. After 8-10 days your bird would be cured.
2. Why cere colourof male budgie turns tan from blue?
We all know that the cere of a baby budgie remains light blue or light tan as they grow up cere of male budgie turns in to blue and female's white or tan but in some cases you can see that cere of male budgie turns in to tan coloured. Its a serous problem. It indicates that your male budgie is suffering from testicular tumor solution- you must have to discuss it with a vet doctor.
3. Why the cere colour of a female budgie turns into brownish
In breeding season changing cere colour of a female budgie is normal. It happens due to excessive release of breeding hormone called ESTROGEN. Its normal but in some cases you can see that without breeding season and without mating cere of femlae turns in to brown. Its a indication of serious problem. It means you have made your female a seed junkie. There is excessive fat in her body. Solution- give very less amount of seeds and give veggies, fruits eggfood continue this for one month.
4. How to stop budgies from laying eggs?
Most of us tame budgies only as pets. They dont need eggs or chicks so, how can they stop their budgies form laying eggs. You have to do two things.
1) You have to give your bird lesser sunlight or broad spectum light.
2) Never give any nest box or matki in cage.
This are the main two things that provokes them to breed. Don't give them these two facilities.
